چکیده

A method is proposed for obtaining the local clique set from a neighbourhood system. The Markov random field model, which is used extensively in image processing, is defined with respect to a neighbourhood system. The mathematical interpretation of the model is defined with respect to the corresponding clique set. We present a systematic method for extracting the complete local clique set from any neighbourhood system on which a Markov random field maybe defined. Keywords—Markov random field, Neighbourhood systems, Cliques

Extracting of All Maximal Cliques: Monotone System Approach

NP-complicated problems have been described in the graph theory. An example is the extracting of all maximal cliques from a graph. Many algorithms for solving this problem have been described. However, complexity is linear to the number of maximal cliques. This paper discusses a new approach for extracting maximal cliques, based on the monotone system theory. The complexity of the presented alg...

Cliques Role in Organizational Reputational Influence: A Social Network Analysis

Empirical support for the assumption that cliques are major determinants of reputational influence derives largely from the frequent finding that organizations which claimed that their cliques’ connections are influential had an increased likelihood of becoming influential themselves. It is suggested that the strong and consistent connection in cliques is at least partially responsible for the ...

A game-theoretic approach to partial clique enumeration

In many computer vision and pattern recognition applications using graph-based representations, it is of great interest to be able to extract the k largest cliques in a graph. However, most methods are geared either towards extracting a single clique of maximum size, or enumerating all cliques, without following any particular order. In this paper, we present a novel approach for partial clique...

The Neighbourhood Polynomial of some Nanostructures

The neighbourhood polynomial G , is generating function for the number of faces of each cardinality in the neighbourhood complex of a graph. In other word $N(G,x)=sum_{Uin N(G)} x^{|U|}$, where N(G) is neighbourhood complex of a graph, whose vertices are the vertices of the graph and faces are subsets of vertices that have a common neighbour. In this paper we compute this polynomial for some na...

On Hereditary Helly Classes of Graphs

In graph theory, the Helly property has been applied to families of sets, such as cliques, disks, bicliques, and neighbourhoods, leading to the classes of clique-Helly, disk-Helly, biclique-Helly, neighbourhood-Helly graphs, respectively. A natural question is to determine for which graphs the corresponding Helly property holds, for every induced subgraph. This leads to the corresponding classe...
